The Art club is named in honour of Selma Jónsdóttir, art scholar (1917-87) who presided over the NG from 1950-87 and was a powerful pioneer in the introduction of art in Iceland.
The Art club caters to individuals who want to get acquainted with art and keep a close track NG activities.
Members of the club get free access the whole year round.
Special pre-openings, entailing guided tours are offered exclusively for members.
Members are also offered special discounts in the NG shop and in the café, one of the most beautiful coffee houses in Reykjavík.

SELMA Art Club
Selma Art Club is for people who are interested in art and want to keep closely informed about the exhibitions staged at the National Gallery of Iceland. The annual fee includes unlimited admission to the Gallery’s exhibitions and various discounts in the Gallery shop and cafeteria. Members of Selma receive invitations to guided museum tours, exhibition previews and other events arranged by the Gallery.
