2026 - Summer course at the National Gallery of Iceland
Further information
The National Gallery of Iceland offers creative and fun summer courses for children aged 7–9 (born 2017–2019) and 10–12 (born 2014–2016) in the museum’s art workshop at Fríkirkjuvegur 7.
The courses are based on the museum’s exhibitions, where artworks are explored and special emphasis is placed on developing participants’ sense of color and form. Children will have the opportunity to experiment with different materials and work across various media, such as painting and sculpture.

At the end of the course, an exhibition will be held for friends and family, showcasing the participants’ work.
Children are expected to bring a light snack, dress according to the weather, and wear clothing suitable for painting, mess, and fun!
