
Auður Jörundsdóttir Appointed Exhibition Project Manager at the National Gallery of Iceland

Auður Jörundsdóttir has been appointed Exhibition Project Manager at the National Gallery of Iceland. In this role, she will work closely with the museum’s curators on the planning and implementation of exhibitions, as well as on collaborative projects both across Iceland and internationally. She will also contribute to the museum’s cooperation with ministries, embassies, and other state institutions.
Auður brings more than 20 years of experience in the visual arts, with a strong professional reputation. She spent many years at i8 Gallery and most recently served for six years as Director of the Icelandic Art Center. During her tenure, she led significant developments in the organization’s operations and coordinated Iceland’s participation in the Venice Biennale.
In addition, Auður has undertaken a number of positions of trust for government bodies and independent institutions within the visual arts sector. She holds a bachelor’s degree in fine art and architecture and brings extensive expertise, insight, and leadership to her new role.
Auður began her position at the National Gallery of Iceland on December 1.
