Dance Marathon 2024
Let's dance together in support of The Benefit Society for Disabled Children.
On Saturday, May 25th, the second Dance Marathon in Iceland will take place. This year, the event will be held at the National Gallery of Iceland on Fríkirkjuvegur.
The Dance Marathon is a charity event where people with different physical abilities and experiences come together on the dance floor to dance for equal opportunities. The marathon celebrates diversity in dance and movement culture. We believe dance should be for everyone, regardless of physical ability. Therefore, we invite everyone to come and dance with us in support of a good cause. The fundraiser is conducted through participation fees and voluntary donations for charities working for people with reduced mobility. This year, all proceeds will go to The Benefit Society for Disabled Children. Participants and supporters can choose different participation fees based on their ability. Individuals and companies can also support the event and the association by paying a participation fee here.
The marathon lasts for 6 hours, from 11 AM to 5 PM. The goal is for participants to keep dancing throughout the marathon or as long as their ability allows.
The Dance Marathon will take place at the National Gallery of Iceland, Fríkirkjuvegur 7, on Saturday, May 25th, from 11 AM to 5 PM.
Tickets are available in the SLF online store.
The Dance Marathon is organized in collaboration with Sõltumatu Tantsu Lava (STL), Art Without Borders, the Association for the Support of the Paralyzed and Disabled, the National Gallery of Iceland, and the Dance Workshop.
