Clay in the Sculpture Garden

The sculpture garden of the Einar Jónsson Museum is filled with beautiful and intriguing sculptures. Using clay and natural materials such as autumn leaves and branches, we will create our own outdoor artwork (weather permitting) while enjoying Einar Jónsson’s sculptures in the garden.
If the weather is poor, the workshop will be held inside the museum.

The Gallery encourages families to visit and view the art on their own terms. We also offer diverse programming on a regular basis with an emphasis on enabling families to enjoy time together in creative ways, whether through live guided tours or custom workshops. All events are advertised specially in connection with exhibitions. The Krummi Kids' Club is a diverse and fun monthly program where kids can learn about the National Gallery's collection, create art, and play in a nurturing environment. The National Gallery of Iceland gives a warm welcome to all children and guardians!
