Christian Marclay The Clock opens at the National Gallery of Iceland on May 2
The acclaimed video installation The Clock (2010) by Swiss-American artist Christian Marclay will be on view at the National Gallery of Iceland from May 2 to June 22, 2025.
This epic, 24-hour single-channel video work with sound received the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale in 2011 and is widely regarded as one of the most significant artworks of the 21st century. The Clock is both a profound meditation on time and a tribute to the history of cinema.
At the National Gallery of Iceland, there will be two full 24-hour screenings of The Clock: one on opening night and another on the summer solstice.
