Christian Marclay The Clock
You are cordially invited to the opening of the exhibition Christian Marclay The Clock on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 5:00 PM at Fríkirkjuvegur 7.
To mark the occasion, a special 24-hour screening of the work will take place, beginning at the opening and continuing until 5:00 PM on Saturday.
The Clock is an epic 24-hour single-channel video installation with sound. Awarded the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale in 2011, the work is widely recognized as one of the most significant artworks of the 21st century. It offers a profound meditation on the nature of time while serving as a tribute to the history of cinema.
