Krummi Kids' Club - Frothing Waterfalls
We warmly welcome you to a fun art workshop at the Krummi Kids' Club this coming Saturday at the museum on Fríkirkjuvegur.
In the workshop, we will explore creative watercolor techniques related to Cycle, Tumi Magnússon's exhibition. We'll see how watercolors react to salt and paint using soap bubbles to mimic the water foam often seen in splashing waterfalls and trickling streams.
Free for the whole family.
Thank you for coming!
There was a fantastic atmosphere at the National Gallery of Iceland last Sunday, when Þóra Sigurðardóttir and Einar Garibaldi Eiríksson had a conversation about the exhibition Iron, Linen, Coal, and Lime: New Works by Þóra Sigurðardóttir. Following the artist talk, there was a celebration for the launch of the accompanying book Iron, Linen, Coal, and Lime.
This book was created in conjunction of the namesake exhibition at the National Gallery of Iceland, which will be on view until September 15, 2024.
The book is available here, at the National Gallery's museum shop and other locations.
Thank you for coming!
On Culture Night, Anna Rún Tryggvadóttir engaged in a conversation with Guðný Guðmundsdóttir, where they discussed Anna Rún's ongoing exhibition Multipolar at the National Gallery of Iceland. You can watch a recording of the artist talk below on the museum's YouTube channel.
