Clever Snowflakes

Nature is full of shapes, patterns, and small wonders. We will examine the artwork Storm on a Pedestal by Magnús Sigurðarson on the fourth floor of the House of Collection, paying attention to the forms and movements it presents. Inspired by the natural elements found in the museum’s artworks, we will create our own crystals to take home.

The Gallery encourages families to visit and view the art on their own terms. We also offer diverse programming on a regular basis with an emphasis on enabling families to enjoy time together in creative ways, whether through live guided tours or custom workshops. All events are advertised specially in connection with exhibitions. The Krummi Kids' Club is a diverse and fun monthly program where kids can learn about the National Gallery's collection, create art, and play in a nurturing environment. The National Gallery of Iceland gives a warm welcome to all children and guardians!
